Local first or encrypted cloud

Choose the mode that fits your privacy needs. Tracker works fully offline, while memberships unlock zero-knowledge sync.

Data security & retention

Tracker never keeps synced content indefinitely. You stay in control at every stage of the membership lifecycle.

Immediate deletion

Delete synced copies from the server at any time from the app settings. Local notes and tasks remain on your devices.

Automatic cleanup

When a membership ends, all synced data is scheduled for deletion after 90 days. The retention deadline is displayed in the app.

Architecture & security insights

Tracker follows a local-first architecture: Drift keeps an encrypted SQLite database on every device, while the server only stores ciphertext. Sync endpoints speak REST/JSON over TLS 1.3, and authentication relies on short-lived JWTs.

On-device vault

Encryption pipeline

  • PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 derives 256-bit keys per account.
