Notes

Usage

  • Write Markdown notes with live preview and split view.
  • The first line becomes the title; creation and update times are tracked automatically.
  • Tag notes, filter by tag, and search across full text and metadata.
  • Switch to freehand mode for sketches, diagrams, and quick wireframes.

Linking notes

  • Use [[Note Title]] wiki-style syntax to link between notes.
  • Links become clickable in preview mode and navigate to the referenced note.
  • A notification appears if the linked note does not exist.
  • Links also work in journal entries to connect daily reflections with notes.

Data model

  • Tables: notes, note_tags, and join table note_tag_links.
  • Metadata columns store created/updated timestamps and last editor.
  • Drawings are kept as embedded vectors with optional PNG fallback.

Synchronisation

  • Notes live locally by default for privacy and offline access.
  • Membership sync will encrypt note bodies, drawings, and attachments.
  • Conflict resolution keeps both versions with a merge assistant planned.

Roadmap

  • Seed onboarding notes that explain core workflows.
  • Multi-tag filtering, saved searches, and notebook groupings.
  • Note templates plus cross-linking with tasks and journal entries.
